When selecting teas for Arte Tea Co.,  here is what I look for: 

• Its significance to the people who drink it in the region I'm sourcing

• Any inspirations, nostalgia, or philosophical contemplations the tea invokes

• the process taken to make the tea

• Its taste, complexities, subtleties, notes, and fragrance it grants us with each sip

But I'm also looking for the soul of each tea! 

The soil, the leaves, the people who process it... each put a bit of their love and soul into the tea and I, for one, can feel it! I know there's soul when it makes me want to cry upon sipping.
